Hamid Biglari is a Managing Partner at TGG Group, a firm focused on building new ventures and providing advisory services to Fortune 100 companies based on the transformative business applications of behavioral science and Big Data analytics.
Previously, he was Vice-Chairman and Head of Emerging Markets at Citigroup, and sat on the global bank’s Executive and Operating Committees.
Prior to joining Citigroup, Dr. Biglari was a Partner at McKinsey & Company, the international management consulting firm, where he co-led the Firm’s investment banking consulting practice. His experience base spans the entire spectrum of consumer and wholesale financial services.
Prior to that, he was a theoretical research physicist at Princeton University’s Plasma Physics Laboratory, the nation’s leading center for controlled thermonuclear fusion research.
He is a member of Council on Foreign Relations and a Trustee of Asia Society. In 2009, Dr. Biglari was awarded the Ellis Island Medal of Honor, given for outstanding contributions to the nation by immigrants.
Dr. Biglari received his Ph.D. in Astrophysical Sciences from Princeton University.
