As PAAIA’s Communications Assistant, Noah Ringler helps manage the implementation of social media and communications strategy, working to express the work PAAIA is doing to forward the interests of Iranian Americans.
Ringler is a student at American University in the Global Scholars Program studying International Relations and Communications, focusing on Middle Eastern and North African Affairs, Turkish language, and Global Security. He spent 2014-2015 studying the Turkish language in Izmir, Turkey and completing coursework at the University of Ankara’s TÖMER Institute of Turkish Studies.
Ringler previously was a guest writer and videographer for the U.S. Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs’ NSLI-Y Interactive as part of his year abroad on State Department Scholarship. In Turkey he volunteered for Ege University hospital organizing intercultural exchange between patients and exchange students learning Turkish. In his home state of Washington, he worked with Spanish speakers in the Bellingham Food Bank system using his experience from his time living in Guanajuato, Mexico. Ringler is an avid runner, short filmmaker, and photographer.
